As we continue the transformation to the world’s largest commerce network, we are now looking for a
Accountant colleague,
to join our Record to Report (R2R) team in Basware SRL office in Iasi, Romania. R2R team is part at the same time part of Basware’s Group Finance team located in Basware’s headquarters in Espoo, Finland and Global Business Services department located mainly in Basware SRL office in Iasi, Romania. Group finance is a team responsible of accounting and financial reporting and controlling of Basware entities and the Group. GBS is a global service centre providing order to cash, account receivables, purchase to pay and record to report for Basware entities globally.
Job objectives :
- Providing support in the management of general accounting and its associated transactions to ensure timely records and to comply with local and IFRS regulations.
- The role includes multiple interactions with other teams within Basware finance or non-finance.
- Providing support in compliance with legal provision in the financial field, in collaboration with internal and external partners.
As an Accountant in Record to Report team, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP, FASB), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
- Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
- Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
- Assist with and act as the primary point-of-contact for auditor requests
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

Skills & Requirements
To succeed in this role, we expect:
- Good, relevant and solid experience of financial accounting and bookkeeping
- Graduate in Economics or other relevant areas
- Specifics accounting certified degrees are an advantage
- Financial closing, reporting, forecasting knowledge
- Experience with global cross-departmental collaboration
- Organized and target-oriented working style.
- Continuous improvement mind-set
- You seek and achieve solutions to problems and have excellent communication skills
- Commitment to reporting deadlines and flexibility when needed
- Attention to detail & accuracy
- Excellent customer service skills

- SAP knowledge is an advantage

- Language skills: Fluent in English. Other languages are an advantage.
