Smart Eye is now looking for a Customer Program Owner / Project Manager to join our expanding Automotive Solutions division. You will have a leading role in ensuring successful delivery of our market-leading Interior Sensing products to our customers around the world.

You will be the primary point of contact with customers for all project topics and will be in a position with high visibility both internally and externally.

You will be responsible for our long-term relationships with customers and will be working both in running projects and supporting customers sourcing’s phases to seamlessly move from sourcing to execution.

You need to ensure that any uncertainties and ambiguities in the customer’s expectations are resolved in both technical and non-technical issues.

We are looking for a highly creative, hands-on project manager with an interest in understanding technical details and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company environment. You are a self-starter who is comfortable to work in a highly international setting, with customers and colleagues around the world.

You will join a global organization headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden with major offices in the United States, Egypt and satellite offices around the world. This role will be located in Gothenburg and you will report to the Head of Project Management for Automotive Solutions, based in Gothenburg.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the scope and timing of projects in collaboration with our Sales and Product teams
• Develop customer relations between the external and internal engineers
• To have our software products being delivered on time, on technical target and on cost
• Plan and track our worldwide teams of our programs
• Guide our teams towards successful execution
• Understand our technology in software and the hardware environment that it runs in.

Your Role

You will be leading one or more of our developer teams in Automotive Solutions, communicating with the customers and other internal stakeholders as well as setting the priorities for the team. You work closely with the Product Owners for our feature development.

We have a number of development teams working on our products and algorithms such as head- and eye-tracking, attentiveness and drowsiness, face identification and other interior sensing algorithms. We solve these challenging problems utilizing state-of-the-art algorithms in the fields of image processing, machine learning / AI, mathematics and accelerated computing.

The teams develop new features and applications, embed and optimize the software for specific target platforms and environments, test and verify the software for specific vehicle programs as well as work with our customers to create the best possible user experience. All our customer programs are based on the same core product so they all share the same core software.

We have a Scrum-based development process which must also support automotive standards like ASPICE and ASIL (Functional Safety). Each team working for a specific vehicle production program has a customer program owner, responsible for project planning, customer support and communication. The teams also have a technical lead which helps with technical expertise and can also act as scrum master. The customer program owner and the technical lead are jointly responsible for ensuring that the team works according to the development process used for the product development and for customer programs.

This means that the work is a mix of a project manager and product owner and will vary depending on the complexity of the customer project and the agreed level of ASPICE and ASIL compliance. A team is usually around 5-10 developers so we expect you to be able to do more than lead only one team and communicate with one customer. Depending on your skills and interest you could for example:

• Lead more than one team.
• Dive into the technical aspects and help out with investigating issues, support the customer on the technical level etc.
• Improve the development process and the process documentation.
• Participate in system engineering work, specifying requirements, documenting algorithms, making presentations, etc.
• Support our business organization in the pursuit of winning new programs and customers.

You will have an active impact of the processes and projects and will work in close cooperation with the other talented team members out of the office in Gothenburg. This is an on-site position since it involves a lot of close teamwork and therefore we can't offer 100% remote job.
