Technical Program Director

The Technical Program Director will lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects on different levels of complexity. They will interface between business development, project management and manufacturing with main purpose of scaling the company and our factories. You will play a key role in a small, highly skilled and agile team on a mission to raise the bar and change the recycling industry forever.
Earlier this year, we opened Europe’s largest electric vehicle battery recycling plant in Fredrikstad, Norway, and we are already planning for European expansion. It is our strong belief that no battery should ever be wasted – we are here to close to loop.
In this role you are the go to person for managing our projects related to expansion. Making sure that we are scaling with a state of the art recycling process and therefor can become Europe's largest recycling organization.
As an ideal candidate, you have a technical background, be detail driven, and have great problem-solving abilities. You have great communication skills and are able to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the details of engineering challenges. You have a track record as a project manager driving complex projects, covering both the planning and execution phases.

The world needs clean batteries and we need a plan for what to do with them end-of life. We need to recover the materials and use them in new batteries or other products – and not produce waste.
The Swedish battery making company Northvolt, and the energy and aluminium company Hydro from Norway have now come together to create the joint venture Hydrovolt, which is building Europe’s largest electric car battery recycling facility in Fredrikstad, Norway. The battery recycling plant is situated just next to and will work hand in glove with Batteriretur, the company that collects used batteries in Norway.
