Due to significant growth created by an ever-increasing client demand, we are looking to further bolster the team by recruiting a talented Platform SRE Engineer.

Who you’ll be working with

You will be a part of the Capgemini Cloud & Edge Projects and Consulting Practice that is primarily responsible for providing client centric Cloud, End User/Productivity and IoT services. It provides a variety of client services, which range from strategic advice through to project delivery.

Your responsibilities include:

• Work closely with engineering teams to design and implement scalable and highly reliable solutions, build tools and services to monitor and advance the reliability and quality of services
• Collaborate with engineering team members to develop full-stack observability, monitoring and event management integrations
• Working closely with the Cyber security, engineering and operations team to bring policy as a code in to DevSecOps pipeline and improve cyber resiliency​
• Ensure all necessary operational processes and procedures are carried out with a high level of attention to detail, expediency and on-time delivery
• Responsible for definition of SLO (Service Level Objectives), SLI (Service Level Indicators), error budgets; as well as continually collect and analyse SLOs and SLIs to assist in performance tuning and proactive resolutions
• Responsible for planning and executing code releases, deploying changes and container images, provision capacity and strategize rollback if needed
• Develop re-usable BOTs and Workflows using PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Git, Django REST framework & REST APIs
• Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within Platform Services Operations; recommend solutions and assist in overseeing implementation. Actively facilitate continuous improvement.

What you bring

You will be able to demonstrate the below competencies:

• Hands-on knowledge in Configuration Management (CM) process and software development tools such as Git, GitLab, Nexus, Jenkins, Maven or JIRA
• Experience with cloud CLI and SDK
• Proficient skills in scripting, Python, ansible and IAC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager and Google Cloud Resource Manager
• Experience in containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS and GKE
• Observability configuration and integration across Cloud and on-premises stack leveraging tools such as Dynatrace, AppD, Moogsoft, Splunk, Big Panda, ScienceLogic, Datadog, Cloud Native monitoring tools
• Experience using an operational ticketing system to record changes and work history details such as JIRA, OTRS or Service Now
• Knowledge of configuration management, release automation, and orchestration technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform
• Knowledge of DevOps related practices such as CI/CD, Canary Pushes/ Blue-Green deployments, Software Defined Infrastructure
• Good working knowledge on deploying applications in one or more on-prem & cloud services on Azure, AWS, GCP, VMWARE and OpenShift
• Full working proficiency in both Norwegian and English
