Freevalve - Software and electronics design engineer

For this role we are looking for someone with glow for automotive electronics and do not fear the challenge to put electronics in a combustion engine environment. Open for new ideas and proving them either wrong or right leading by doing. You will be part of a growing team supporting the Koenigsegg unique cam less system. You will have a direct possibility to influence the product and investigate new paths. You will be working closely with external and internal customers in an entrepreneurial start-up like organization. You will be part of the company growth in putting the most interesting technology in the combustion engine market yet to date.

Koenigsegg Automotive are searching for an exceptional Software and Electronics design engineer to join their Freevalve department. Here you will work with some of the best engineers in the industry. Freevalve is made up of a small team of highly skilled engineers who are dedicated to delivering a cleaner and more efficient combustion engine while still maintaining the raw power that Koenigsegg is known for around the world. We are looking for attitude and personality to fit in the team and rather tailor the responsibility based on experience.

Skills & Requirements

You will work in a highly intelligent, lightweight and motivated team to achieve our goal of revolutionizing the combustion engine with Freevalve technology. As a Software and Electronics design engineer, you are expected to deliver first class solutions on-time and in-line with the company expectation. You will work cross functionally, interacting with both internal stakeholders and external customers. Design, testing, de-bugging and issue resolution can be expected as part of your daily duties. Report writing and reporting to the management is also expected. You will have the responsibility for both the Software and the Electronics for the actuator.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Electronics Hardware architecture design and main controller selection
  • Embedded systems with a proficiency in C, C++, Python, Java etc
  • Integrating 3rd Software applications
  • Main, power and sensor adaptation
  • Main controller selection
  • Firmware development
  • PCB testing and debugging at prototype level
  • Giving instructions and be part of mass production implementation
  • Altium schematics entry + Altium PCB layout will be seen as a bonus
  • Test case and documentation
  • 5+ years working with embedded systems and/or electronics design
