Master Production Scheduler / Master Planner

Planning team at Northvolt Systems Poland is opening a new position of Master Production Scheduler located in Gdańsk.

Our Planning Team located in Gdańsk is responsible for cooperation with Sales and Operations Planning team in Sweden and translating clients’ demands into master production schedules.

As Master production scheduler you will be responsible for creating MPS according to S&OP data, monitoring its execution, analyzing delays and interruptions, and accordingly adjusting the schedule to meet deadlines. As the role is new in our organization, you will have an opportunity to design the process, create procedures and instructions, as well as identify gaps and drive solutions.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating a rolling Master Production Plan for designated lines/products
  • Coordinating production workflow for one or multiple products
  • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Review sales forecast and suggest modifications consistent with knowledge of current or historical demand.
  • Support the S&OP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications. Update the Master Production Plan as necessary
  • Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels to ensure high service levels, i.e. product availability
  • Develop inventory targets and manage production to achieve targeted inventory levels
  • Ensure coordination with plant schedulers to execute the Production Plan
  • Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan
  • Communicate production status to Managers and Customers on a regular basis

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous planning experience
  • Minimum of 2 years creating the Master production schedules experience
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain, Production, and Planning processes
  • Accurate and can handle significant amounts of data
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Highly developed attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Specific skills:

  • Good knowledge of MS Office Excel
