About the position

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you are an important piece of our security team responsible for designing, operating and assessing our customer cloud environments - from the information security perspective. You are passionate around technology and enjoy the ever-developing domains of information security and cloud engineering to secure the best possible solution for our customers.

You will work on the global arena, with colleagues, partners and customers in many regions in the world in an environment where we constantly learn and adapt to provide the best possible service.

As a Cloud Security Engineer you may work with:

  • Security architecture and design of both new and already running services.
  • Implementation and operations of security controls
  • Management and administration of vulnerability controls
  • Identity Access Management
  • Continuous monitoring of running services and associated networking components
  • Management, administration and review of security logs
  • Endpoint protection including anti-malware and detection engineering
  • Digital forensics and incident response as part of Sectra’s Hunt and Incident Response Team

Skills & Requirements

We always look for your willingness and ability to learn and take on new tasks fast, utilize previous experiences and quickly grasp new information. We also want you to have a strong analytical mindset in which we consider it to be important that you can understand and break down and solve problems. We also look for good communicators who have the ability to interact with colleagues, partners and customers in an effective, clear and constructive way.

As a a Cloud Engineer, we also want you to:

  • Have a genuine interest in IT and information security specifically
  • "Get things done" - driven by a will to succeed with our targets and to make an impact
  • Be organized and deadline-driven, and enjoy a fast-paced work setting
  • Travel up to 20% as needed

We consider it a great asset if you:

  • Have experience working in system administration with Windows, MS SQL Server, SQL Server AlwaysOn, networks, Active Directory, server clustering, scripting tools, Microsoft Azure and VMware
  • Have experience working with IT service desk or customer service
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python and Bash
  • Experience in security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and CIS Controls

The salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $120,000, based on experience and qualifications.
