Job Description

This is an opportunity for an IT professional who wants to have time for other things in life too, not just work. Sievo’s Chicago team is growing, and we are looking for a person who can support us with our internal IT needs. The position is part-time, but comes with full benefits and a generous PTO policy.

You would be the only US-based member of our global IT team, with the rest of your team based in Europe. So while you can count on support from your team, the position requires own initiative and the ability to figure out how to best organize local support.

We are looking for someone who can work 20 hours per week and is able to work onsite at our office when needed, e.g. to help with hardware-related issues. We are open to discuss your working schedule and find a solution that fits your life situation and our needs.

Your tasks will include

  • Making sure your local colleagues receive the best support: Installing laptops, giving advice, supporting with day-to-day help requests
  • Managing office infrastructure/tech at our Chicago office
  • Developing our global internal IT environment
  • Automating internal processes (mostly with PowerShell)
  • Creating integrations between software services used by Sievonians
  • Being an approachable and helpful person that Sievonians love

Maybe you could also help us with some of our upcoming projects to

  • Migrate on-premise resources to Azure
  • Re-think the way we use our office and enable remote work
  • Consolidate software tools that are in use around Sievo today

It’s a versatile range of work, and we hope that you found one or two things there that really makes you tick. Since we want or team to stay awesome, we have a few must-haves for anyone who joins us:

  • You think about what you could improve and automate, proactively push things forward and know how to google
  • You are a problem solver with a customer service attitude
  • You have good knowledge on MS environments

We work on many different things, where a variety of skills is useful. We understand that nobody knows everything, but hopefully you know some of these already (please also tell us which ones):

  • Manage Windows device deployment with Microsoft Autopilot
  • M365
  • Windows servers/workstations
  • Active Directory / Azure AD
  • Azure architecture (Networking, virtual machines, etc.)
  • IT procurement and software licensing
  • Scripting (e.g. Powershell)
  • Office tech (Switches, firewalls, WiFi access points, projectors, screens, meeting room equipment)
  • SQL

We offer

  • A hybrid work environment with a great place to work in downtown Chicago
  • A company culture that challenges you to exceed and enables you to learn.
  • International and fast-moving work environment.
  • Freedom and responsibility. We are looking for people who yearn for this freedom, can make the most out of it and are willing to take on the responsibility.
  • Medical, dental and vision plans
  • A generous PTO policy with minimum of 25 days of PTO per year

Now we want to hear about you!

To take the next step on this great growth adventure, apply by sending your CV and motivational letter through our recruitment system by 19th of February at the latest. We will start screening applications on the 20th of February.
