Organisation
Schibsted Enterprise Technology - or simply E-Tech - is the internal IT company within Schibsted. We deliver IT services, tools and infrastructure to companies and employees in all parts of the Group, currently more than 50 brands and 6000 employees use our services and products. Today, there are approximately 130 highly skilled people in Sweden, Norway, Poland and Finland.

We monitor and support Schibsted operations 24/7 and manage incidents when they occur
We deliver IT solutions that can be shared by many companies and distribute cost in a fair and predictable way
The job location is either Oslo, Stockholm or Krakow.

The role
You will be the company responsible for Schibsted Enterprise Technology and responsible for the IT vision and strategy, planning and execution across the Schibsted family group in close collaboration with stakeholders across Schibsted. You will report to Schibsted’s Chief Data and Technology Officer who is part of the executive management team.
Supported by a dedicated leadership team you ensure IT is used effectively to support growth, deliver innovation and maintain effective operations and together with the leadership team you:
Establish and implement continuous-improvement programs for the IT organisation
Recommend fit-to-purpose execution supporting tools and frameworks
Ensure effective communications internally and with business stakeholders
Key responsibilities:
Lead the IT department and its 130 employees to deliver high-value services to employees, functions and brands
Collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout the entire Schibsted group - CTOs of the brands and business areas as well as other shared functions like People and Finance - to deliver IT solutions that drive our business forward
Drive our continued move to cloud services and away from on-premise workloads
Lead an organisation of talented IT professionals and be responsible for delivering innovative solutions that help our employees and functions work more efficiently and effectively
Lead the E-Tech leadership team and promote the E-Tech and Schibsted values
Secure strong vendor management and efficient procurement processes aligned with the system portfolio
Ensure IT operations are cost-efficient and aligned with the overall business strategy
Involved in due diligence of potential acquisitions and onboarding of new companies.
Define and manage budget across IT products shared across the Group, and drive effective cost containment initiatives
Qualifications
Ready for, or experience as, a CIO/SVP Infrastructure role, backed-up with relevant leadership experience
Strong knowledge of IT operations, cloud services and IT strategy
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Broad knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs
Ability to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and information management across the IT organisation
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Leadership & Capabilities
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong networking and collaboration skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms
Strong leadership capability and experience from leading leaders
Strong ability to influence, lead and drive change in a complex environment
Strong ability to build top performing and engaged international teams
Background
You have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field or comparable practical business experience. Additionally, relevant industry experience would be considered an asset. Relevant experience in IT operations, cloud services and IT strategy, as well as a track record of leading and managing teams in a large organisation will be a merit.
Data & Tech is the central product and tech unit that serves all of Schibsted. We are about 300+ people in the Nordics, Poland and remote, and collaborate closely with other product and tech teams in all units in Schibsted. Areas of responsibilities include data & technology strategy, privacy/data trends/responsible data & machine learning, information security and internal IT.
