Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Factory Material Flow Engineer in Northvolt Systems Poland. This position is in Gdansk, Poland, which reporting directly to the Manager of Material Flow and Storage under Factory Development team in Stockholm.
The Factory Development team is responsible for developing factory designs which supports seamless integration between production, packaging, material flow, supply chain, construction, facilities teams and IT. Through a detailed understanding of factory objectives and extensive collaboration with the internal and external teams designing the factory setup, this team ensures that the overall factory design achieves Northvolt's demanding production targets. Today the team consist of 13 people, and we are looking for our next star.
As part of Factory Development team, the Factory Material Flow Engineer will develop the flow inside of the factories ground (inside and outside). Therefore, the role needs to work closely with interface partners from layout, process material flow, warehousing, logistics, quality, rework, construction, and offices. This function has the governance of all flows beside the process material flow. Therefore, the responsibility is to design, optimize and balance the flows of finished goods, parts, and people with the target to eliminate congestions, stoppages of production lines and MUDA. Collaboration with highly technical cross-functional teams is needed to ensure the factory throughput, efficient support functions and that the factory utilizes the available space most efficient.
