Role Overview

We are seeking an EASA Part 21 Senior Compliance Engineer to help us to ensure the compliance of our Design Management System with EASA Part-21 regulations.

Your responsibilities will mainly include but not limited to:

  • Support the Design Organisation Approval Process (DOA) according to EASA Part21,
  • Prepare, update, and review the relevant DOA procedures,
  • Prepare the Audit and Surveillance Plans,
  • Conduct the internal audits within the Design Organisation, including the follow-up activities to ensure the closure of corrective action plans,
  • Conduct the design supplier audits, either desktop or on-site, and perform the follow-up activities to ensure the closure of corrective action plans,
  • Support the process owners to conduct the Root Cause Analysis; define the corrective actions and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions,
  • Prepare the Audit and Surveillance Reports,
  • Monitor and report the DMS (Design Management System) health and performance.

You will report to the Head of Independent System Monitoring.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate degree in aerospace or similar engineering discipline, or equivalent experience,
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the Quality Assurance or ISM (Independent System Monitoring) Department, in an aviation company,
  • Working knowledge of EASA Part 21,
  • Experience in audit planning & execution for aerospace engineering departments and suppliers,
  • A strong compliance and detail-oriented mindset,
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English,
  • Eagerness to work with others,
  • Passion for electric aircrafts and Heart’s mission.

The ideal candidate would have

  • Experience working in an aerospace start-up environment,
  • Working knowledge of AS9100D,
  • Working knowledge of EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25.
