We are looking for a Test Design Trainee to develop and maintain automated testing systems for micromechanical sensor elements. You work as part of the MEMS Test Development team, which is responsible for both research and product development and the electrical measurements of micromechanical sensor elements in production. As a Test Design Trainee, your most important tasks are the development of testing/measuring methods for sensor elements and quality assurance, as well as the development of equipment used in the laboratory and production environment. Depending on your skills and background, the job may also include development and testing of the LabView software for testing equipment.

As a summer trainee, you will get to know the technology of micromechanical sensors and see the development processes of sensor elements up close by participating in product development projects. Our work gives you excellent opportunities to develop your expertise, especially in connection with the development of testing systems in manufacturing with high quality standards. In the summer job, you will gain interesting and useful work experience in an international, growing company with modern technologies and methods and with the support of a team consisting of competent Test Designers and Test Engineers.

We expect you to have

• Knowledge of measurement technology and electronics in theory and practice.
• Suitable higher education studies (e.g. DI or Master of Science in Engineering), preferably with an emphasis on measurement technology, physics or electronics.
• Studies completed more than halfway.
• Wide understanding of physical phenomena.
• Knowledge of statistical methods.
• Fluent English language skills.

We also value experience in programming (e.g. Python, C/C++, LabVIEW), flexibility and teamwork skills. You are a good fit for our team if you are willing to learn, active and work independently, who is comfortable in a laboratory environment and shares enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
