For social robots, the time is now: they are no longer 'science fiction'. All over the world - in universities and research labs as well as in schools, hospitals, airports, shops, offices, hotels, and more - social robots are being explored and deployed today to help people lead better lives, support employees, delight customers, and add value to businesses as well as new insights to researchers. Humans are entering a new era where talking to machines, and interacting with them in our most natural ways (as if they were a person) is becoming 'normal'. But it's still early days in this revolution. The rules are still being written, and the road ahead is wide open. Furhat Robotics has established itself as a global leader in telling the story of social robotics, and this is where you come in.

We are looking for an experienced marketing manager to lead our marketing strategy and team, as well as take our marketing work to the next level. Your mission will be to work with our small but established marketing team on driving all our marketing efforts, to continue to develop the thought leadership brand Furhat has developed with our research community, and to drive the day to day operations of all our marketing channels. You will work alongside our commercial team, our product owners, the management and the CEO on making sure you contribute to forming the offline and digital marketing strategy, and on making sure it is executed with world-class quality, on time, and on budget.

As the Marketing Manager, you will:

  • Orchestrate digital content strategies across all online platforms
  • Drive traffic and engagement that translates to sales and brand promotion
  • Manage a content marketing budget
  • Measure the results of marketing activity to inform future marketing campaigns
  • Plan and execute together with our team the established Furhat Conferences with the research and innovation communities, our main customer base
  • Manage and drive marketing activities including events, press releases, PR, blogs, social media
  • Manage established vendor relationships and form new ones in all marketing work, including PR agencies, Production/Photography/Videography, Branding, and Web Design firms
  • Exploit Furhat's viral nature by creating and sourcing engaging content
  • Design and own the customer digital experience on the web for all our products - in collaboration with our Digital Marketing Manager
  • Leverage customer's enthusiasm and use-cases to share success stories with the world
  • Create a solid network of strategic partnerships such as journalists, influencers, as well as our customer's marketing departments
  • Listen to the market, set up metrics and track effectiveness and direct marketing efforts. We believe in results-driven marketing, and the need to track all marketing activities with KPIs that are coordinated with sales

Skills & Requirements

To be an ideal candidate, you must have:

  • +5 years experience in marketing in tech-related industries
  • Experience launching software and hardware products
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles and market research methods
  • Highly analytical thinking with an audience-first mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, story-telling ability and interpersonal abilities
  • Passionate customer advocacy and understanding of many business disciplines
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics in early stage products
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Hands-on mindset, with the passion to do things yourself, from posting to social media, to filming at internal and external events, to learning a new tool very quickly to solve a problem
  • Experience in modern digital marketing tools both in setting up digital marketing funnels online, to tracking audience behaviour and supporting our sales team with data on a daily basis to allow them to close deals
  • Minimum BSc in business administration, marketing, communications or relevant field

It would be great if you also have:

  • Native/bilingual proficiency in English
  • Experience in marketing to academic and research audience
  • Previous experience working with startups
  • Experience working with robots or conversational systems
  • Hands-on communication skills such as visual design, copywriting, photography
  • Built your own website and sold products online
  • An active social media presence and are a content creator yourself
