About the role
You will lead a dedicated Enterprise Account Management team in the Greater China region and focus on key strategies to maintain our existing client base and increase growth opportunities. You will be responsible for developing key retention and growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans, as well as hiring, developing and leading a high-performing team to meet and exceed sales goals.
Your background in relationship and client management coupled with experience in team leadership will enable you to develop strategies and enhance our team’s capabilities in Greater China.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence Meltwater’s overall success and growth in Greater China. The position will report directly to the Vice President of Greater China and will be based in Hong Kong or Shanghai and require Mandarin language capabilities (additional language capabilities in Cantonese is preferred).
What will you be doing?
Develop and implement strategies to retain and grow key enterprise accounts
Lead a team of individual contributors such as Account Managers and Account Associates
Drive Account Planning to ensure retention, upsells and cross sell opportunities are managed appropriately
Manage enterprise clients directly as well as support the team to grow their territory
Drive, manage and attain revenue goals
Recruit, hire and onboard top talent onto your team
Partner with other customer-facing functions to develop strategies and execute plans that maximize growth, customer retention, and account expansion.
Leading by example -you will set the standard, demonstrate hard work and hold your team to account on similar standards.
We’re Looking For
8 + years of experience in account management
Background in SaaS or consulting, managing key accounts in Greater China
At least 3 years experience leading successful sales teams
Ability to forecast accurately and provide timely updates to senior leadership on sales targets
Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin (Cantonese highly regarded)
Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
Entrepreneurial mindset & willing to lead from the front
Analytical and data oriented across a variety of sales & business metrics
