We are growing quickly and we are now looking for a Cloud Architect (CA) to be responsible for designing, building and maintaining our native cloud-based infrastructure that supports the organization’s software development efforts. The Cloud Architect is part of the Platform team and works very closely with Head of Platform and Head of Architecture to define future direction for our native cloud infrastructure. In addition to this the CA will work closely with the software development teams to identify and prioritize cloud infrastructure needs and requirements, and then designing and implementing the appropriate cloud-based solutions to support those needs.
In this role you would be expected to:
- Designing and implementing native cloud-based infrastructure supporting Simployer’s software development efforts
- Collaborating with the software development team to identify and prioritize cloud infrastructure needs and requirements
- Evaluating and selecting cloud technologies that support the organization's software development goals
- Controlling the organization's cloud infrastructure and follow up on budget and costs.
- Ensuring the security and compliance of the organization's cloud environment
- Providing guidance and mentorship to other team members on cloud infrastructure best practices and technologies
- Improve developer experience by building an internal developer platform to reduce cognitive load, developer toil and repetitive manual work.

Kompetanse
We think it's good if you recognize yourself in this description:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in native cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of software development and delivery processes
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (such as Python, Java, or C#)
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
- Experience with containerization technologies (such as Docker and Kubernetes)
- Good communication skills and ability make teams follow desired direction.
