We are looking for a driven HSE Coordinator Quality to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Quality team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in contributing to building one of the first large-scale European battery factories by supporting the area management with the creation, adaption and the implementation of Northvolt policies that protect employee health and company property while complying with relevant HSE legislation. You will work closely with the HSE department.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Practical HSE control measure implementation and continuous improvement, for example: updates of chemical substance registry, use of PPEs, signposting, waste management, chemical inventory, and secure that SDS are available at quality control laboratories and shop floor.
  • Compliance audits: Assist area management with the reception of the monthly site management HSE audit findings and follow up on required actions. Development and implementation of weekly area management HSE audits with performance tracking and clear actions in order to close any gaps. Assists and ensure regular safety walks and support/ensure to improve/close findings.
  • Management of accidents, incidents etc.: Ensure correct use and follow-up of the incident management system, TIA. Assist all levels of area management with incident investigation, action planning and follow up of corrective action execution.
  • Capability development: Development and execution of HSE training plans for quality control laboratories. Follows up with all levels of area management making sure all area employees, consultants and visitors are up do date regarding HSE training.
  • Policy implementation: Development or adaption of company policy in coordination with site HSE leadership. Development and implementation of relevant HSE guidelines, routines, etc. in close coordination with area management

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience requirements :

  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Relevant University grade a plus but can be replaced by industry experience
  • Ability and interest in helping others grow
  • Avid reader and constant learner
  • Data driven problem solver
  • Knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing is a plus
