Test Technician
We are looking for a driven Test Technician to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our ESS Manufacturing Engineering team based in Gdansk, Poland. By joining us, you will be a key player in developing and implementing our engineering standards and contribute to our role in achieving a carbon free society.
About the job
The role of Test Technician within ESS Engineering Team, is to take responsibility for production line electrical test and vision inspection equipment optimal operating conditions in regards to electrical cabinets and circuits.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Link between Production Test and R&D Engineering for new product developments, design changes and product diagnostics (development products)

Execute electrical tests and reports following test procedures and processes

Responsible for diagnosing root causes and implementing preventive and corrective actions for equipment, process and product failures

Propose ideas for improving daily production activities

Compliance with the electrical test and vision inspection equipment periodic checks in production

Accountable for equipment administration (repair and maintenance)

Support test engineers in preparation of electrical test benches and vision systems inspection
We believe that you have:
- Fluent English with strong communication skills
- Diploma or professional certificate in electric and/or electronics field
- Minimum 3 years work experience with battery systems testing or electronics testing in manufacturing
- High voltage testing – understanding of Li-Ion battery protections basics
- Good understanding of High Voltage safety principles
- Good manual dexterity, problem solving skills and ability to understand complex HW/SW systems
- Quality and customer orientation
- Experience with product and processes from prototype through production in a high volume and high pace environment ideally in the Battery, Electronics, Semiconductor production, Automotive industries.

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems.
