What’s cool about this job?

As a Solution Engineer for Cloud, you will work as part of the Technology department as a Subject Matter Expert and Functional Lead for Sectra Cloud solutions. You will assist in maintaining, supporting, improving and deploying the Sectra product suites in the Microsoft Azure cloud as a SaaS offering. You will use your critical thinking skills, and sound engineering principles to help develop and maintain standards, blueprints, procedures, best practices, and training materials.

In this position, you will:

  • Have fun while doing impactful work!
  • Go through hands-on structured training on applications, solutions and services
  • Develop new solutions that are future-proof towards both existing and future solutions
  • Deliver cloud platform architecture documents detailing the vision for how Azure infrastructure and platform services support the overall application architecture
  • Ensure that all cloud solutions follow security and compliance controls applicable towards our business segments
  • Plan, organize and control multiple responsibilities to achieve project objectives while maintaining timeline milestones
  • Drive and support system reliability, scale and performance activities
  • Keep internal infrastructure VMs up-to-date
  • Keep VMs in application subscriptions patched
  • Evaluate security configuration of application subscriptions
  • Maintain vulnerability scanning systems, remediate found issues
  • Create scripts to creating, auditing, and monitoring Azure resources
  • Understand networking technologies and how to securely interconnect physical and virtual networks
  • Audit and apply Azure security best practices to all types of Azure resources
  • Administer access management for all users across platforms
  • Develop solutions integrating Microsoft Azure commercial clouds with services hosted on-premises and in other clouds
  • Develop and maintain software solutions/scripts to support automation of cloud configuration and administration
  • Define and implement secure networking solutions between on-premises data centers and commercial clouds
  • Support security audits, accreditation, and certification processes
  • Assist with upgrading, installing, and configuring monitoring solutions for Azure for Windows and Linux servers
  • Backup/Restore VM and Disks (Snapshot and Recovery Vault), Imaging, Resizing and Scaling VM

Think you’ve got what it takes? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:

  • A degree in computer engineering with strong academic performance, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the technology field
  • 2+ years of strong experience with public clouds such as Azure and AWS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise imaging solutions, radiology workflows, integrations, and migrations
  • Have experience with computer networking in a cloud environment, including firewalls, Active Directory, load balancers, VPN, DNS, update management and security
  • Capable of technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to develop support and deployment strategies
  • A passion for service excellence, with exceptional customer interaction and communication skills
  • Highly organized and deadline-driven, and enjoy a fast-paced work setting

Also nice to have:

  • Experience working with IT service desk or customer service
  • Experience working with PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7, IHE and other healthcare interoperability standards
  • Strong experience working with Windows, MS SQL Server, SQL Server AlwaysOn, networks, Active Directory, hardware, clustering, programming or scripting tools, and VMware
  • Meticulous about documentation
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages (French would be a definite asset)
  • Exposure to diverse cultural experiences
