Role overview

We are looking for a skilled patent attorney to join the IP team at Heart! We are pioneering a new industry in Sweden, together with a wide range of international suppliers, customers, and other partners. Your role will be to handle IP activities within Heart, in close collaboration with our Head of IP and other relevant teams within Heart. This will call upon your proven ability to communicate with our engineering teams, manage intellectual property rights from conception to granted rights. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience involving drafting, and prosecuting patent applications in SE, PCT, EPO and US; patent related aviation industry experience is also preferred.

You will also have the opportunity to develop and execute internal IP training programs to build knowledge of Intellectual Property within Heart. As a lean, nimble team within a fast-growing startup, we are called on to support a wide range of operational and technical areas within the company. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of International and European Patent Law, but the curiosity and drive to take on new issues and challenges, too. You’ll be energized by the opportunity to contribute to Heart’s success across multiple parts of our business.

Your work will consist of, but is not limited to:

  • Drafting and reviewing patent applications in English

  • Conducting searches (e.g. novelty searches, landscaping, FTO) in our IP search tool and to recommend actions to our internal IP council

  • Help developing and conducting internal IP training sessions in English for the engineering teams to increase knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights

  • Organizing and performing workshops to identify possible innovations within internal projects as well as external projects where Heart participates

You will get the chance to have a real impact on our success story and see the results of your work. As the IP team is still a small team, we value great self-discipline and a natural talent to make things happen. You will report to the Head of IP.

Work with great people
