As the Bid Manager for APAC, you will be a crucial member of our Global Sales Support team, supporting our entire sales organization, with a focus on the Enterprise division - The division that drives our highest value growth opportunities throughout the region.

Your primary responsibility as a Bid Manager is to identify, pre-qualify and work on Tenders, RFIs, RFPs/RFQs.

As a Bid Manager, you will manage several submissions simultaneously supported by cross-functional teams within Meltwater and our wider partner network. You will be responsible for managing different stakeholders in the cross-functional teams, including but not limited to; our talented colleagues from our Enterprise Department, Account management, Delivery Services, Solution Engineering, and Legal teams, to align on different elements and aspects of the processes while demanding a high sense of urgency and agility.

Act as a knowledge repository and work with the Sales Team on horizon planning activities, proactively contributing to the RFx and positioning us for success.

Curate relevant content in multiple languages to support our RFx response and deliver training to our sales teams and develop learning assets.

The Bid Manager will support the development of complex solutions by using in-depth product knowledge and market experience, as well as provide technical expertise to our sales teams to develop their proposals for responding to these complex business opportunities.

What You'll Do:

  • Project management for all RFx, response development
  • Responsible for seeking clarification from procurement officials
  • On top of amendments and modifications that might occur during the procurement process
  • Responsible for content preparation, conceptualizing responses, and writing compelling technical, and financial proposals
  • Maintaining, updating, and creating tender templates.
  • Coordination and project responsibilities with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with the Sales leaders to develop a clear winning strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear and compelling.
  • Create, improve, and maintain tender documentation in different formats and languages
  • Own the “Go and No Go” decision process in collaboration with our sales divisions
  • Subject matter expert for RFx processes
  • Long-term planning and scheduling for successful RFx horizon planning.
  • Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal, and project management/delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customers

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in any discipline) with strong academic results
  • Must be resident in Singapore & possess working rights
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken), additional languages are a plus
  • Comfortable with writing, communicating, completing proposals, and building relationships at business level in Mandarin
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Good to have prior experience with software demonstrations preferably in the SaaS industry
  • Some exposure to sales processes from prospecting to the closing of business
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, dependable, trustworthy, and well organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
  • Natural collaborator, true team player, mature, professional, self-starter, and fast learner
  • Familiar with the business and the market trends in China
