The ideal candidate will be a senior HR professional with broad ranging and deep technical reward experience covering all aspects of remuneration. With a proven track record of developing and implementing practical, business focused solutions within challenging timescales and developing solutions that balance business and employee needs.

The successful candidate will lead the strategy, design, and execution of the company’s compensation, short-term incentive plans, and benefits programs to help attract and retain the best talent, all while balancing our bottom line and business objectives as we expand and continue to grow. This role will require you to think strategically about complex global compensation, equity, and benefits topics that need a savvy approach and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.

Responsibilities

• Regularly consult with leaders on organisational design, the application of rewards, evaluation of pay equity, and as-needed consult with leaders on the interaction of legal or compliance matters related to total rewards
• Analyse the current state of compensation and benefits and reward programs globally including salary bands, compensation review cycles, bonus schemes, ad-hoc compensation analysis/modelling, and job levelling/architecture.
• Design and deliver programs of work to address the gaps identified above.
• Build a fair and competitive holistic reward offering to help Hurtigruten on its mission to recruit, retain and motivate its talent.
• Design and implement a reward strategy and philosophy in alignment with business objectives, talent strategy, and market trends.
• Design, model, and track compensation, bonus, and budgets globally and liaise with finance and the business to ensure alignment and planning for the years/ projects ahead.
• Oversee the creation of reward policies and procedures geared to reward high performance short and long term.
• Oversee the development of reward education and awareness across the business to continue to develop Reward maturity as the business scales.
• Oversee our global benefits and monitor renewals, upgrades, and changes to ensure adherence to local regulations, business, and department priorities.
• Manage and build relationships with our global and local “Benefit” vendors to yield the highest value possible for Hurtigruten.
• Track benefits budgets globally and liaise with finance to ensure alignment and planning for the years ahead.
• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership to the Total Rewards team, including defining clear team roles and processes and providing direction, coaching, and opportunities for development.
• Develop, and deliver the global mobility strategy for Hurtigruten including updating and renewing policies and processes that will help streamline and deliver on putting internal talent as the best fit for the business.
• Provide vision and guidance to the Payroll Systems when rolling out a payroll solution for Hurtigruten.
• Help drive efficiencies, compliance, and consistent reporting to finance as needed
• You will guide and coach the Senior HR Analytics and Reporting Specialist to help provide insights for more informed people's decisions
• You will guide and coach the HR operations team to further increase efficiencies for managing people operations in the life cycle

Skills And Requirements

• Extensive experience in Reward, ideally having put into place infrastructure where previously there has been none.
• Strong team management experience with a proven track record of developing talent and building high-performing teams from the ground up
• Experience and involvement in M&A or IPO are helpful.
• Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Excel/ Microsoft Sheets to be able to guide in building models and reports to analyze large volumes of data
• Comfortable designing, tailoring, and delivering communications of complex sets of data and analyses to stakeholders across departments, locations, and levels of seniority. Ability to tell the story around the data analytics
• A proven track record in developing a holistic Reward agenda globally, regionally, and locally and ensuring execution of the agenda
• Experience working with senior stakeholders across a range of reward-related topics, including executive compensation
