Each year more than 250 000 people from all over the world visit us at Scandic Destination Nordkapp and we're looking for team members to give them a memorable adventure at the North Cape.

As Housekeeping Manager at one of our summer hotels, Scandic Honningsvåg or Scandic Nordkapp, you will be leading your team of between 10 and 20 team members as they work to give the best impression possible of the facilities. You will be in charge of managing the day-to-day operation in the department – ensuring the quality, efficiency and level of service while training motivating your team, making sure all guest rooms and common areas are presented according to Scandic Hotels’ standards.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that best practices regarding sanitation procedures are followed
  • General personnel duties, including shift lists and staff coordination
  • Training and developing your team
  • Quality control
  • Follow-up on best practices regarding the use of industrial chemicals
  • Stocktaking and ordering of linen, equipment and room supplies

You will be hands-on in the operation, working closely with the Front Office Manager and Technical department, while reporting to the Operations Manager. The position is partly administrative and partly operational.

Skills & Requirements

Because Scandic Destination Nordkapp welcomes visitors and team members from all over the world, all our team members must speak and write English. Skills in any Scandinavian language are appreciated. Please note any additional language skills in your application.

  • Previous experience in a similar role is required
  • Intermediate or higher knowledge about handling of industrial chemicals
  • Intermediate or higher knowledge about minimizing physical strain in the workplace
  • Preferably skills in OPERA Hotel Systems
  • Enjoy and thrive in a hectic environment
  • Passionate about service and giving great hotel experiences
  • Calm, precise and organized
  • Flexible and a great leader

These two positions are seasonal with startup between late April/mid-mMay until late August/September 2023. The position will also require work on evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
