Marketing Manager, Taipei, Taiwan

About the role

We are looking for the person who can plan and execute all local and regional marketing and communications activities in Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Currently, there are one account manager and one engineer on the team. You will be the 3rd person responsible not only for task execution as a team player in the local office, but also on collaboration with Global Marketing Team on global activities, product launches, and go-to-market strategies. The Marketing Manager is the 3rd pillar, and we also plan to have the 4th pillar of a Customer Care Lead to assist in sales function for further business growth.

You will be expected to provide your expertise in, both locally and globally, but is not limited to, the following functional activities:

Regional Marketing Function

  • Oversees and manages local marketing operations, including parts of website CMS, marketing projects and activities, backend management, tactical execution of marketing campaigns, refine and update scalable processes, and marketing automation refinements.
  • Coordinate and execute ad hoc local marketing campaigns and activities aimed for lead generation. Provide operational support for campaign execution and framework, such as landing pages, templates, forms, workflows, and list buildouts.
  • Create and drive local marketing strategy and plan to local markets, prospects, and customers.
  • Establish strong business relationships and plan/execute joint marketing activities with local customers and local strategic partners in all channels.
  • Be the local/regional SME in regard to channels, audience, partner prioritization based on ROI requirements.
  • Oversee and manage local marketing budget and budget spend, including agency management and selection.
  • Create and/or localize thought leadership materials and content (white papers, blog posts, webinars, etc.)
  • In conjunction with Sales, run Account Based Marketing initiatives to help prospecting and improve conversion rates.
  • Work with communications activities in PR and social channels by creating own stories and/or adapting corporate stories.
  • Execute and manage local tradeshows, event planning, and ad hoc digital marketing funnels, supporting IAR Systems strategy to scale down on large tradeshows, scaling up in digital and small-presence thought leadership at tradeshows.

Global Marketing Function

  • Assist and execute out-of-the-box global marketing-run digital marketing and demand generation campaigns.
  • Provide local feedback on localized messaging, customer needs, localized campaigns, tradeshows, and ad hoc digital marketing funnels.
  • Help execute global branding initiatives and implement/sustain global brand guidelines in the local region.
  • In coordination with the Global Marketing team, help distribute press releases and manage localized public relations activities, including but limited to media briefings, interviews, images in press releases, etc.
  • Anticipate how decisions are made, explore new ways of doing things, and work collaboratively to create results.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to meet with the following requirements:

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, marketing,
  • communications, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing management, marketing operations, digital marketing, communications, research and analysis.
  • Software or app based B2Bmarketing experience ++
  • Experience in cross-functional project management
  • Strong ability to prioritize requests and to balance demands from the local sales team as well as from the corporate marketing team (based in Sweden)
  • Omni channel content development skills
  • Fluent level English (verbal/written) is required.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with working in a website Content Management System (CMS) (we use Episerver)
  • Experience with a marketing automation system, such as Pardot and Salesforce.
  • Digital marketing and overall marketing strategy development experience
  • A self-starter mindset, willing to pick up new skills, and is never satisfied with the status quo.
  • Experience with data analysis for territory and client relations (we use Salesforce)
  • Comfortable in working with a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous environment
  • Other Asian Language capabilities (ex: Japanese or Korean) is a plus

IAR Systems Taiwan is a subsidiary of IAR Systems Group, selling IAR Systems’ products to the domestic embedded systems market.
