About the role

reMarkable is growing rapidly and to meet the expectations of our ever-growing, global customer base we continue to expand and scale our global supply chain network. As we scale our operations, bringing together processes and stakeholders and ensuring that every stage of the journey (from ideas and concepts to high quality products or services in use by our customers) is optimized for success becomes increasingly important.

Product lifecycle management is an essential part of optimizing this journey and we are looking for an experienced Project or Program Manager with commercial mindset and a solid background in product configuration/ management, supply chain, and program management who can influence, plan and execute strategies and efficient lifecycle management processes, to join our Supply Chain Operations team. We are looking for an independent, flexible and articulate problem solver who thrives with multitasking to meet product, process and system objectives in an agile and fast-changing organization.

As a Program Manager, Product Lifecycle you will be in the forefront of the lifecycle management of reMarkable’s products from ramp-up (of production) through end of life (EOL). In addition to ensuring that products meet cost and quality metrics (Product Health) throughout the lifecycle, you are responsible for understanding operational business needs, proactively identify and present opportunities (i.e. value engineering) to enhance product, operational and organizational performance, and align and influence stakeholders across departments and external partners to ensure timely execution on strategy and opportunities.

In this role you will...

  • Be responsible for the health (quality, cost, compliance) of our products and its Bill of Material (BOM), the product line performance metrics and for the entire lifecycle management of the product in our portfolio from ramp-up to finalized End of Life (EOL).

  • Lead a defined cross-functional forum/ project team and guide stakeholders towards common goals, clear accountability and timely implementation of changes required to maintain high quality, optimal cost/ margin, supply continuity (resiliency) and innovation on the products.

  • Proactively seek and explore commercial and business opportunities including supply chain optimization and redesign & value engineering based on i.e. cost reduction targets, new technologies or capabilities, and customer feedback and returns data from Logistics/ Customer Support

  • Plan and proactive manage of product changes (Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notifications/ Orders (MCNs/ MCOs/ ECOs) and End Of Life (EOL) notifications) and facilitating decisions on re-engineering, re-design, re-qualification of alternate parts, and/or last time buy of EOL parts.

  • Evaluate supply chain risks, provide updates to business partners and executive team, and build and implement contingency plans to mitigate customer impact, including leading problem solving teams during unprecedented events. You will know when to recommend changes and/or when to escalate internally in reMarkable and towards the global supply chain.

  • Develop processes, technology/systems and organization of lifecycle management in reMarkable based on leading practices.This includes leading and supporting continuous improvement within the team and drive positive change management.

  • Manage product transitions (process) - plan and execute phase out (activities) of existing product(s) in coordination with new product introduction (ramp-up) timeline

  • Lead and contribute to ad-hoc project and program management of changes to products during development and sustain phase i.e. changes to packaging, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in new geographies, label changes, new offer models etc.

  • Work with partners in Asia and suppliers globally

At reMarkable, we have the luxury of not having to deal with much legacy and outdated technology and we have set ourselves an ambitious target state when it comes to best-in-class processes and systems, including a best of breed Product Lifecycle Management system. As a Program Manager - Product Lifecycle you will play a central role in defining and contributing to translating business/ lifecycle process needs into system requirements/ capabilities in our PLM system.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, Marketing, or relevant field required. Master degree/ Advanced Degree/ MBA preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in relevant supply chain roles, preferably Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing and/ or product lifecycle management

  • Experience from high volume global design & manufacturing of consumer and/or high tech electronics or other relevant industries

  • Proven skills in leadership of cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines in a matrix organization

  • Highly collaborative, excellent at building trust and strong relationships and knowing how to get stakeholders motivated, engaged and committed (accountability) for a common cause and goals

  • Strong communication skills including ability to communicate clearly and make an impact (influence) at all levels including executive level

  • Passion for identifying solutions and leading change

  • Strong coordination/ project/ program management skills

  • Structured and capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel

  • Process mindset and ability to hold process owners engaged and accountable

  • Solid working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management systems such as ARENA PLM or similar.

It is also an advantage if you have...

  • Knowledge/ experience with Lean six sigma tools and methodology

  • Knowledge/ experience from Quality management tools, processes, and metrics (e.g. FMEA, Dfx, 8D, CAPA processes, SPC ).
