  • Get Hired: While full-time roles are not guaranteed, you are fast-tracked through ordinary application processes for available full-time roles with the startup after the experience.


Startup Partner:Lami

Lami is an insurance SaaS platform and API looking to democratise access to insurance in developing countries. Their customers range from insurance companies to banks, and digital platforms.

They are a pioneer in the digital insurance space, on a mission to break the 3% insurance penetration barrier in Africa and provide a safety net for every person on the continent.

Lami has empowered its partners with an innovative technology platform that enables the distribution, servicing, and exceptional growth of sophisticated financial products for very large customer bases.

Engagement Description

The team is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager for their indirect sales segment to join their growing sales team!

Your main goal will be to create & identify rising business opportunities, manage the sales process & relationship with clients and help the team to scale their products as an individual contributor.

Some of the outlined deliverables you'll be tasked with include to:

  • Prospect new business opportunities for Lami's SaaS products.
  • Contact potential clients and explore new business opportunities to create long-term successful partnerships worldwide.
  • Arrange and lead product demonstrations.
  • Develop quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Provide an outstanding follow-up and overall process experience.
  • Explore Cross-selling opportunities with the team.
  • Increase the sales of all Lami platforms.

Reports to: Head of Business Development

Skills & Requirements

  • At Least 5 years of experience selling SAAS products.
  • Bachelor's degree (Sales, Marketing and other) or relevant experience;
  • Tech & goal-driven mindset.
  • Good connections in the consumer space.
  • Business-oriented, dynamic and eager to conquer the insurtech world.
  • Team player, critical thinking and awesome communication skills
  • People-oriented! It is imperative to control emotions and solve daily problems productively.
  • Attention to detail and unlimited curiosity.
