We are looking for someone to help us further build this engagement movement as our new Director of Brand & Content.
As Director of Brand & Content at Mentimeter, you will manage our communications strategy, which includes defining, planning, and executing content across various marketing channels. We’re looking for someone that knows how to establish Mentimeter as a thought leader within the category of Audience Engagement. Someone who together with the team will ensure we communicate the value our product brings in a distinctive and clear way for different audiences.
Effective inbound marketing is a key element of our acquisition model. You will lead the work of the content craft, an embedded team of content marketers (specialists within design, motion, video, and writing), and be responsible for setting clear objectives for all content initiatives targeting individual presenters (B2C) and enterprise buyers (B2B). You will be instrumental in enhancing the team’s expertise and coaching them to become masters of the craft.
This role will ensure we deliver the right content, in the right format, to the right person at the right time to inspire, educate and engage people worldwide, both within businesses and higher education, to join our engagement movement.
Our 30+ marketing department is growing and we are excited to add even more experience to the team. As Director of Brand & Content, we also want you to be the one shaping the role.
Bringing our brand to life by establishing and driving a multi-channel communications strategy including but not limited to Thought Leadership, PR, Social Media, and Content Marketing.
Develop, drive and execute brand position, brand identity, and customer value propositions for our ideal customer profiles by:
Creating an overarching content plan across all media and channels.
Planning the editorial calendar and content propositions for mentimeter.com.
Building a content governance process (including audits, tonality/voice guidelines, roles and responsibilities, workflows, etc.)
Lead and be the line manager for the communication team.
Lead the craft of content marketers to make sure we execute the communications strategy (written content, video, design, motion). Our content marketers are distributed in our marketing teams.
Make sure our communication and content investments deliver clear return on investment both within our self-service and enterprise segment:
Track Brand Awareness and Share Of Voice.
Track Marketing Revenue Attribution across various platforms. Know what content converts at each stage of the funnel and how it contributes to more visibility and engagement in desired verticals.
Experiment, measure, learn, and improve. Make data-informed decisions.
Identify tools and processes that automate and scale our communication and content efforts in close collaboration with marketing operations.
Manage media relations and develop contacts with media and business influencers.
Manage relationships and run projects and initiatives with external partners, agencies, and consultants.
Create a budget for content & communications and ensure compliance. Establish an 18-month plan for team growth.
Collaborating with marketing teams and other Mentimeter stakeholders to implement the strategy and improve content delivery, distribution and ROI.
This role reports to our CMO, and you will be leading the Brand & Content Team in the Marketing Department.
We think you have:
At least 8 years of strategic and tactical brand communications experience with an international focus.
At least 5 years of leadership experience - leading a team of specialists within communication, brand, and/or design and having direct reports.
Experience from a B2B and/or B2C SaaS brand is a plus but not a must.
Experience in driving creative processes, including design, is a plus but not a must.
A strong communicator with a proven track record of:
Driving and executing a multi-channel communication and content strategy with a high return on investment.
Proficiency with all forms of media – traditional, digital, and social.
Strong writing and editorial skills.
You have proven leadership abilities in:
Creating a high-performing team that ranks high on results, engagement, and well-being.
Leading individuals to greater success and professional development.
Applying servant leadership with a focus on trusting, caring, coaching, and providing feedback.
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You don’t have to know Swedish at all. Daily work is carried out in English, and the Mentimeter team currently boasts over 40+ different nationalities!
