We are looking for an electronic technician to join our WeTek team , an Agile Content S.A brand that specializes in developing innovative hardware and software solutions for the multimedia and IoT markets.

This position requires to work on hybrid role, 3 days present in our offices in Maia, Portugal and ocassionally travel to US.

Your key daily tasks will be:

  • Test products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Check and repair/maintain hardware to ensure it is functioning properly.

  • Participate in HW and product design to provide input on hardware and product improvements.

  • Travel within and outside the country to provide on-site support to clients.
  • Install new hardware and products for clients.
  • Provide support for manual testing, including identifying and documenting issues and working with the development team to resolve them.
  • Maintain accurate records of all testing, repairs, and installations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest hardware and software developments and technologies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide updates on project status and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide training to clients and team members on the use of new hardware and products.

You must have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electronic Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of HW, PCB, and Electronic design.
  • In-depth understanding of Set-top boxes, including their functionality and components.
  • Thorough knowledge of DVB standards and protocols.
  • High sense of responsibility and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electronic engineering technology.
  • Availability to work 3 days per week from our offices in Maia, and to travel to the US 2-3 times per year.
  • English +C1

  • This position requires to be currently residing in Portugal and have a valid working permit.
