A diverse, learning-hungry and quality-minded team of technologists across Germany is waiting for you to get to the next level!

We are looking for someone to lead and support our tech competence group in Germany. On top of that, our international clients have complex, high-stakes challenges in driving their organizations to be more data-oriented and connect disjointed digitization efforts into coherent digital strategy, organizational change and innovation.

Your responsibilities in this role are versatile and multi-faceted:

  • Increasing our market relevancy through conference talks, interviews and articles
  • Playing a key role in ensuring that the competence is developing in line with the needs of clients, the market and our talent, and in driving the Futurice Germany business forward.
  • Supporting business development and being a key contact and advisor in strategic engagements
  • Driving strategy and vision: Identifying and implementing new emerging tech themes and practices that keep us relevant and competitive in the German market for our German tech team of more than 50 individuals,
  • Building connections within Futurice to group leadership, different competence groups and sites in Germany and other markets as well as our offering teams
  • Collaboration with competence area leads to establish upskilling and training plans

Recipe for success

For your new role as Head of Technology with Futurice Germany you bring a track record and network that helps bring client- and industry perspectives into our organization. You have probably worked in VP of Engineering, CTO/CIO/CDO of a smaller to mid-sized organization, or other senior engineering management roles that give you credibility towards the team and top stakeholders with our clients alike.

  • You understand the intersection of business, customer needs, technology and organizational design. Your analytical mind breaks complex issues down and first-class communication skills help communicate mission, strategy and tactics simply - both internally as well as externally.

  • You remain relatable, humble and retain a servant leadership mindset as your primary goal is to enable the highest quality digital engineering team in the professional services sector.

  • You have a consultant mindset through-and-through and empathy is your secret instrument to mindful listening followed by impactful, measurable results.

  • Having had experience in managing large-scale digital programs and digital transformation processes is a big plus.

  • Agile, Lean and Design thinking are known methodologies. Knowledge about flat, networked organizations are a plus

  • You stay on top of industry trends, ranging from newest cloud and cloud native technologies, to DevSecOps and SRE to the many opportunities of data engineering and learned systems. Data meshes, lake houses, domain driven design and event driven architectures are terms you have not just heard, but can talk about with clients and convince them about the benefit for their business - the why, how and what.

  • You know how to design teams for cognitive load, optimal cycle times and highest quality products. You can advise project teams on their way to flow state and solve tricky communication and expectation management problems.

  • While you will no longer personally deliver software or data pipelines to our clients, you have an understanding of what environment and knowledge is needed to do so.

  • Lastly, you enjoy mentoring and sharing knowledge, be it on conference stages or in intimate discussions with your team. This turns you into a role model for a culture of sharing and learning.

You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Compensation

80,000 - 115,000 EUR/year

Your salary is attached to our transparent career path model. Once we have gotten to know you better, we are making an individual career-level-assessment, based on your skills, responsibilities and impact.

Additionally, you are eligible to receive a company-wide bonus and several other benefits not listed above.
