Job Description

SOGETI is looking for a driven and talented Data Solution Architect to join our company.

The context

The Data Solution Architect is in charge of elaborating the overall technical vision for solutions in the context of data management projects. The responsibilities include the design, description, and management of the solutions. The Data Solution Architect translates business problems into technology solutions and outlines each of the phases and requirements required to make the solutions work.

The Data Solution Architect also supports presales activities by identifying business opportunities, carrying out demonstrations, and recommending solutions answering to the customer needs.

Your challenge

The Data Solution Architect helps business and IT departments move from a traditional business intelligence landscape to a modern environment with innovative and best practice solutions.

The Data Solution Architect will support private and public customers in Luxembourg in their data transformation and modernization initiatives with the aim to become data-driven organisations and manage their data as products. The Data Solution Architect will define solutions which are perfectly suited to a large number of private and public services and use cases, such as:

  • Social and tax administrations : Use of advanced predictive analysis techniques to detect fraud and increase the amount of money collected through optimized and profitable customer contact programs.
  • Public Safety : Deployment of advanced analytical techniques to meet the demands of a wide variety of public safety activities.
  • Healthcare: Management of all aspects of information management challenges, from processing basic information to exchanging patient data, with the aim of ensuring clarity and transparency in clinical performance.
  • Bank & finance sector: As one of the biggest “data producers”, ingestion, management and exploitation of the tremendous data potential. Efficient data management is required to monitor financial KPIs and produce regulatory reports, including risk and operational management.

Your responsibilities

As a Data Solution Architect, join our team of data engineers, data analytics and data scientist experts, and 1) provide technical lead of multifaceted data programs for our clients to drive their transformation journey towards being a data driven company and 2) develop our business in collaboration with our sales department.

  • To esign and implement data solutions that meet the specific needs of our customers;
  • To convert business use cases into technical specifications;
  • To create data architectures, data models and data integration strategies;
  • To design conceptual, logical & physical data architectures;
  • To conduct AS-IS analysis of the current data architectures;
  • To work with other teams to ensure that data is properly stored, accessed, and analysed;
  • To identify and recommend new technologies and tools to support our customers' data needs;
  • To provide technical guidance and leadership to other members of the project team;
  • To understand and inspire from the data portfolio solutions provided by the group;
  • To keep up-to-date with the technical evolutions and best practices on the market;
  • To assist project managers / sales in creating project roadmaps and project plans;
  • To assist testing team with the preparation of technical test cases;
  • To participate in presales activities: meeting with the customers, prototyping and demonstrations, drafting roadmaps, contributing to technical offers, workload and budget estimation;
  • To participate in Steering and Management Committees.
Skills & Requirements

_To succeed in your mission, you need to : _

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English;
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Present complex data concepts in a clear and understandable manner;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations;
  • Have excellent relationship skills, be able to work with diverse stakeholders within the company and the customers;
  • Design data and technology-enabled business processes that enable value-adding business outcomes;
  • Be comfortable leading and navigating technical changes;
  • Have proven track record of participating in multiple projects at a time;
  • Be a solid sparring partner on the data challenges faced, both from a business as well as a technical perspective;
  • Enjoy finding appropriate and solid solutions to complex problems;
  • Have strong analytical skills;
  • Have track record in data management and visualisation techniques, using innovative technologies and tools, such as cloud-based technologies, big data technologies, analytics technologies and Machine Learning technologies.


  • Master’s degree in in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant field;
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience with data architectures;
  • Advanced knowledge of ETL process and tools;
  • Advanced knowledge of data models;
  • Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence;
  • Advanced knowledge of data architectures on the cloud (Azure or AWS);
  • Experience with Python programming;
  • Experience in data projects in the banking / financial sector would be an important asset;
  • Knowledge of machine learning models and technologies would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of mathematics and statistics would be an asset.
