Job Description

SOGETI is looking for a driven and talented Business Insights and Analytics Manager to join our company.

The context

The business insight and analytics manager is in charge of developing strategies to identify the best practices and decisions to optimize a company's operations and performance. The responsibilities include understanding the customer's needs and mission, performing extensive research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, gathering and analysing data to determine the strengths and weaknesses of existing procedures, developing solutions using innovative technics and tools, and presenting analytical reports for the executives.

The business insight and analytics manager advise clients on how they should put artificial intelligence at the service of their organization, in supporting them to choose the right technology for the right use and treatment of their data.

The main role of the business insight and analytics manager is to bring together technology, business transformation and governance and to take clients where they want to be as intelligent companies.

Your challenge

The business insight and analytics manager help the business and IT department move from a traditional business intelligence landscape to a modern environment with proprietary solutions.

He/She will support private and public sector in Luxembourg gain real insight into their data and appreciate its full value. Define solutions which perfectly suited to a large number of private and public services, such as:

  • Social and tax administrations : use advanced predictive analysis techniques to detect fraud and increase the amount of money collected through optimized and profitable customer contact programs;
  • Public Safety : deploy advanced analytical techniques to meet the demands of a wide variety of public safety activities;
  • Healthcare : manage all aspects of information management challenges, from processing basic information to exchanging patient data, with the aim of ensuring clarity and transparency in clinical performance;
  • Bank & finance sector : help banking sector,one of the biggest “data producers” to collect, manage and above all exploit this tremendous data potential. From the monitoring of financial KPIs to the production of regulatory reports, including risk and agency management.

Your responsabilities

As a business insight and analytics manager, join our team of data analytics and data scientist experts, and 1) Develop our business in collaboration with our sales department, 2) manage the processes and people responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling and analysis but also, 3) lead multifaceted data programs for our clients to drive their transformation towards being a data driven company.

  • To lead on both developing and providing solutions in concert with other partners within the customer engaged in data, analytics, and BI needs ;
  • To lead and conduct comprehensive diagnostics of the overall state of our clients' data landscape, taking into account their mission, vision, strategy, governance, quality, culture and capabilities;
  • To lead technical analysis on large data sets in order to answer complex questions in a data-driven way;
  • To craft data program plans, roadmaps and communication plans aligned with clients’ ambition and needs;
  • To monitor projects related to team, financial and program management;
  • To build and maintaining long-term relationships with various stakeholders;
  • To develop new business propositions with support from other colleagues within your team.
Skills & Requirements

To succeed in your mission you need :

  • To have excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English, preparing and making presentations and be able to communicate with clarity for impact;
  • To have excellent relationship skills, be able to work with diverse stakeholders within the company and the customers;
  • To be able to design data and technology-enabled business processes that enable value-adding business outcomes;
  • To be comfortable leading and navigating change;
  • To have proven track record of managing multiple projects at a time;
  • To be a solid sparring partner on the data challenges faced, both from a business as well as a technical perspective;
  • To enjoy finding appropriate and solid solutions to complex problems and tasks;
  • To have strong analytical skills;
  • To track record in handle data and visualisation techniques, using innovative technologies and tools, such as cloud-based analytics tools, big data tools and technologies, web scraping technics, machine learning and deep learning technologies as well as in Blockchain technologies.

And in terms of technical know-how ?

  • Advanced Python programming;
  • Programming skills in the following languages: Scala, C, C++, Java, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of machine learning models;
  • Programming and debugging of ML models on market tools (Pytorch / Tensorflow / etc.);
  • Very good knowledge in distributed computing;
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics;
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.).


Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, and familiarity or experience with business intelligence, business analytics/data analytics.

  • 7 years’ experience in line management or project management.
  • minimum 5 years’ experience in big data technologies and tools, in data science and analytics;
  • Knowledge of Luxembourgish Market developments and needs is an asset.
