We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our Operations unit in Murata Vantaa factory. In this new role you will be working with Industrial Engineering (IE) and Production Environment Development (PED) teams as a member of production organization. Our team's responsibilities include topics like production environment development (clean room control, 5S, ESD etc), work standardization, continuous improvement activities and production tool and furniture development. This is a permanent position, and the start time can be agreed flexibly. Job consists mainly of on-site work, but some remote work can be flexibly arranged.

As a part of creating more flexible and agile production, we are now targeting to expand production members' skills and responsibilities. As a Production Engineer you will first learn the ways of Murata IE and then expand that knowledge to production. We will provide you a comprehensive orientation about IE and PED teams' areas of expertise and at the same time you get to participate in the development of our working methods. This is a great possibility to learn new and deepen your understanding of operations.

Your role is to define process responsibilities, create ground rules and enable transition of the certain responsibilities. After the learning period you will continue as an owner for these processes. You will ensure continuation and development of these topics. Later, in production organization you will guide and educate our production members into these new practices. You work either as an Engineer or as a Senior Engineer depending on your professional background and level of experience.

In order for you to succeed in this position, these are the essential qualities and skills we are looking for:

  • Suitable technical education (e.g. B.Sc., M.Sc.), production engineering, industrial economy and management or similar preferred.
  • Proactive, adaptive and enthusiastic way of working
  • Ability to find the common ground between parties and willingness to collaborate effectively
  • Good persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Fluent communication skills in Finnish and ability to communicate in English

Highly desired skills and experience for this position:

  • Production knowledge
  • Experience about process standardization and making process descriptions. Process documentation or work instruction making skills are valued.
  • Experience in project leadership
  • Knowledge about standard operation, 5S and Kaizen
