The Concept & Design team is responsible for the concept development and design of the cars. From the early conceptual design phase all the way to the final look and feel of even the smallest exterior and interior components. We are driven to make everything look and feel as good as it performs, at the highest level. We contribute ideas and concepts to our team of designers, modelers and engineers to develop the most optimal solution for our products.

For this role we are searching for someone passionate about cars, design, and 3D. You will have the chance to work on some of the most amazing designs and vehicles. You will work in our concept and design studio together with engineers, designers, and modelers from all horizons. Working in this department is for you the chance to challenge yourself with exciting projects, passionate colleagues, and fast-moving processes. Here we focus on efficiency and rely mainly on a 3D focused design process.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and styling interior parts for Koenigsegg cars
  • Develop new design ideas and sketches in 2D and 3D
  • Take a project from very early sketches to developing them with modellers and engineers
  • Follow up on production development of design parts and iterate with engineering feedback
  • Designing parts that are function driven in their aesthetics

Skills & Requirements

Need to have

  • Ability to ideate with 2D sketches and 3D sketch models
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and 3D modelling software of choice
  • Ability to communicate one’s ideas in presentations using sketches and renderings
  • Autonomy and eagerness to improve one’s work

Good to have

  • Good understanding of Autodesk Alias and NURBS modelling in general
  • Understanding of ergonomics and engineering (for example material limitations)
  • Strong 3D visualization skills (Keyshot, Cycles, Unreal Engine, etc.)
  • Understanding of homologation constraints
