Senior Software Engineer (Backend)
Meltwater offers comprehensive media monitoring and analysis across online news, print, broadcast, podcasts, and social media, capturing more content and conversations than anyone else in the industry.
The team consists of 12 engineers organized as 3 pods distributed between India and Europe. The team is responsible for all NLP operations at Meltwater, serving more than 15B inferences per day across 200 languages and 10+ NLP tasks. Our tech stack is: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, TensorFlow, Python, and Java.
The team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (with DevOps experience) who wants to grow in an organization based on collaboration across team and country boundaries. With the massive production scale of our systems, small decisions you make may have a big impact on our product and our many customers.

Skills & Requirements
Requirements:

At least 4 years’ experience in Software Engineering and DevOps.

Proficient in Java with strong knowledge of JVM internals.

Working knowledge of Python

Understanding of AWS services for distributed data and message processing (e.g., Route53, S3, SQS, Athena, EC2)

Demonstrable knowledge and skills with Kubernetes

Deployment or operationalizing large-scale distributed data processing systems

Terraform and Apache Kafka experience is a bonus.
