guests and enables Hurtigruten Expedition's ambitious growth targets.
Job purpose
At the heart of the sustainable Hurtigruten Expeditions experience, lies our world leading
onboard Science and Education Program and inspirational content. We need a Guest Learning
Coordinator that can develop, organize and review our onboard content. The role will work with
diverse teams across the company to ensure fleetwide delivery of a unique and inspiring onboard
program that also aligns with our future growth plans.
Academic and professional qualifications

Essential:

● Proven expertise in the development and delivery of educational content and inspirational
material
● 3+ years' experience in the service industry or guest facing industries
● Demonstrable experience in project coordination
● Familiar with environmental challenges for ship-based operations

Desirable:
● Experience of writing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures
● Graphic or content creation experience
● Bachelors' degree or equivalent life experience in a relevant field (e.g. environmental
science, biology, history)
● Experience of training development and delivery

Skills & Requirements

Key Personal Attributes:

● Listens and communicates effectively (written and verbal), demonstrating good people
skills including the ability to motivate, inspire and work collaboratively with remote, cross-
functional teams
● Excellent computer skills including the use of databases, visual mapping and
collaboration tools, and content design and creation applications
● Flexible and self-motivated to work independently and as a team member
● Track record of designing and delivering excellent presentations to diverse audiences,
ideally including science communication
● Excellent organisational abilities and focus on efficiency, particularly for mapping and
storing resources to suit needs and access fleetwide
● Understanding of our audience, Expedition Product, guest needs and satisfaction when
developing implementing scientific, educational and inspirational content
● Understanding of how to navigate the broader Hurtigruten Group effectively, involving
other business areas in a collaborative and purposeful manner to gain support and buy-in
for own objectives
● Bea strong representative and advocate of the culture, contributing to their teams in a
committed, inspiring and ethical manner. Also bringing a sustainability mindset into their
own function
● Fundamentally buy into the HRX mission and purpose and belief that significant growth is
possible

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

● Support the implementation and delivery of the onboard Science and Education Program
and wider inspirational onboard content to ensure unique guest experiences
● Responsible for the development of an interpretative framework, including creation of
core lectures and organization of resources for the fleet, working with the Expedition
teams
● Oversee delivery of fleet-standard of scientific, educational and inspirational content to
ensure consistency with product brand, design and marketing and optimize operational
efficiency
● Collaboration with product design teams and commercial content teams to ensure the
best material is delivered onboard
● Assist In ensuring the fleetwide implementation of Citizen Science projects and Science
Collaborations in the delivery to guests
● Ensure good communication with the teams onboard and shoreside
● Assist in the design and implementation of the content-related training to deliver
exceptional guest experiences
● Assist in the purchase, maintenance and stock control of science and educational
resources, materials and equipment on the Expedition vessels working closely with the
procurement team
● Assist in the creation of and management of Standard Operating Procedures related to
scientific, educational and inspirational content
● Travel as and when required to our Expedition vessels and destinations
● Undertake other tasks as required by Head of Guest Learning
