Do you excel in royalty administration, have a financial interest and are passionate about films and TV series? Look no further - we are now looking for a Royalty Assistant to join our Royalty Team within SF Studios’ finance department.
Our film and TV rights are crucial to us, and our royalty handling is at the heart of our business. The relationship with our partners and rights holders are important, therefore reporting and presenting sales and royalty information in an accurate and timely manner is essential. The royalty team has been working hard on implementing a new royalty system and we continuously evaluate and develop internal processes and ways of working. Sounds exciting? It is!
As part of our Royalty Team, you will be part of our core royalty business and responsible for managing royalties to ensure that our rightsholders receive royalty reports and payments on time. More specifically, this means that you will:
Prepare royalty reports and royalty payments in a timely manner
Generating, reconciling and calculating royalties for internal and external counterparts
Analyze royalties of film and TV production rights
Handling rights and royalty registrations in our Rights and Royalty management system
Work in close cooperation with our commercial and rights colleagues
Handle ongoing contacts with external rightsholders and respond to questions regarding rights in film productions and TV series
Assist in internal and external royalty audits
Ensure that the rights of external parties are in line with contracted film and TV production agreements.
Handle manual reporting and keeping client accounts up to date.
To be successful in this role, we think you are a strong administrator with a financial interest – but you don’t have to have previous experience from finance or working in a financial department. However, we expect you to have a:
Comfortable using Excel.
Previous royalty and/or finance experience, specifically working with accounts receivable, is an advantage.
Tech savvy and a fast and proactive learner with ability to pick up new systems and software quickly.
A general understanding of finance. If you have experience working with finance related tasks or have worked with administration or customer service within in the finance industry that is highly meriting
