The purpose of the Global Brand Director is to own, develop and drive the brand agenda to build prosperity for Hurtigruten Expeditions; to develop and execute a brand strategy for the business - ensuring organisational understanding on how to deliver on the brand across the guest journey; and to ensure a diversified execution of the brand suited for markets and channels with different maturity and awareness levels.
Develop and execute/deliver brand strategies, platforms, identities and guidelines to support the overall business goals, in collaboration with key stakeholders
Ensure that those brand platforms and identities are understood, executed upon and leveraged to build a distinctive and attractive brand across multiple markets that engages customers to support the revenue targets of the group.
Create briefs for the creative team to deliver on business needs, and support the teams in execution of said briefs.
Provide strategic guidance to creatives and content producers in ensuring on-brand storytelling and strategic alignment in both branding and product/destination/sales focused content
Develop strategies and plans for brand storytelling in collaboration with global channels and local markets.
Provide strategic guidance to BU’s value chain to support on-brand experiences for guests
Work with the Insight team to initiate brand related insight/research to develop, measure and track key brand data as part of the planning process
Brand training – both on group brands and on branding in general
Senior experience in multinational brand management
Track record in building loved, distinctive premium brands with passionate customers
Experienced in guiding creative work on TOV, messaging, image style etc.
Additional Knowledge :
Experience from brand experience design/implementation in multi-platform brands a plus (i.e experienced in implementing brands in both digital, creative and physical environments)
Experience in agile working methodology
Senior leadership teams in business units and in commercial
Commercial value chain and product business units, esp. brand experience teams
Media house creatives and content producers
Local marketing and sales teams
Inspirational and passionate storyteller
Good listener and relationship builder
Skilled at translating a theoretical brand platform into something understandable and actionable for those who are not “brand nerds”
