Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Tactical Buyer to join our passionate team in the North!
Our challenge
Sustainability is our mission: As Revolt, we are establishing a robust ecosystem for battery recycling in order to close the loop for Lithium-ion batteries. We plan to significantly grow in the next few years while we establish a complete ecosystem for battery recycling in Europe and this will require a strong focus on procurement of equipment, materials and services.
In this role based in Skellefteå, you will be responsible for purchasing activities for Operational Materials, lead some contractual activities for specific equipment & services, support the Procure-to-Pay process, contribute to set up and continuously improve inventory management and ERP flows.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Creating purchase orders and ensuring a smooth Procure-to-Pay process, coordinating with internal customers and accounts payable.

Leading sourcing activities for selected categories, contacting vendors for RFQs and evaluating bids.

Building up and maintain business relationship with dedicated supplier(s), self-manage operational level with supplier with focus on cost, delivery and quality.

Escalating, if and when needed, potential issues and risks, together with remediation actions.

Supporting sustainability on procurement & cost savings on related areas

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
- A degree in Engineering/Economics/Relevant University Degree.
- Working experience of more than 3 years in Purchasing (Technical Knowledge on MRO category is an asset).
- Good knowledge of Procure-to-Pay process and experience with related ERP transactions.
- Very good at being team player and creating networks, able to influence stakeholders.
- Experience with multi-cultural business relationship is a clear plus.
Specific Skills/Abilities
- Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish or Polish is a plus.
- Solution oriented and result-driven.
- Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Understanding on total cost of ownership, accounting principles and customs process can be an asset.
