We’re seeking applications for a Business Development Manager to join a growing and successful sales team based in Dublin. With double digit growth, exceeding 25%, for the last 2 years and equally strong ambitions for the next 5 years, we are looking for the right candidate to drive further growth in 2022.

You will work closely with our Business Insights and Data team which is made up of business analysts, data analysts, data engineers, data architects and project managers, to develop value for our clients. By understanding our clients’ existing Data Estate and Data Assets and how they work with these, we guide them through a transformation that will enable their data to be used as a corporate asset.

  • leverage the latest advances in machine learning and predictive modelling
  • prepare data to create a single version of truth, that can be relied on across their organisation
  • ensure Data is available anytime and anywhere
  • spend less time assembling and manipulating data, and more time analysing useful information to gain valuable insights.

Leveraging the strength of the local and global capabilities of the Capgemini group, you will use your network, specific industry knowledge and business development expertise to understand and develop new clients by bringing innovative solutions and approaches to their challenges. You’ll be tasked with developing key stakeholder relationships, participating in tender activities, regularly liaising with technical colleagues and presenting comprehensive proposals for engagements that leverage the technical strengths of the group.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategically develop a pipeline of new business opportunities through new contacts
  • Understand client issues and challenges, positioning our portfolio offering to provide best in class solutions in response
  • Manage and qualify inbound leads
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of tenders and bids alongside portfolio leads/team managers
  • Expertly manage complex sales cycle, including contract and commercial negotiations
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients in order to continually grow new business
  • Taking accountability for accurate business development forecasting
  • Working alongside account managers, assisting them in nurturing existing client accounts wherever required
  • Maintain the highest standard of work, working towards the overall success of Sogeti clients

  • Hold an MBA, and have a solid understanding of how businesses operate


  • Demonstrate knowledge of how business functions operate, eg HR, Marketing, Accounting, Strategic Management, Project Management, Logistics, Business Planning
  • Understand regulatory drivers and business context for the following verticals: Insurance, Banking, Pharmaceuticals, MedTech
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal performance, and a history of success in the private and public sector exceeding annual sales targets
  • Experience selling to Business and Technical buyers
  • Ability to navigate large complex organisations
  • Ability to produce winning proposals by providing appropriate leadership to the technical teams with meticulous attention to detail
  • Understanding of how new technologies assist with solving today’s business challenges with the ability to define problems, collect information and present solutions
  • Outstanding organisational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all buyer personas (individual contributor to C-level)
  • Demonstrate a logical and methodical approach to selling
  • Consultative selling attitude and style
