We are looking for a self-motivated sales assistant to join our USA sales team. This role is remote, but the successful candidate must be based in NY to attend regular in-person meetings.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the senior sales manager on larger accounts
  • Provide general support to sales team
  • Complete account templates and create PowerPoint presentations
  • Manage order processing with the warehouse, coordinate reserves, track shipments, and monitor the progress of orders that require special handling
  • Manage sample requests for customers
  • Support for outside reps including gift reps
  • Additional Sales Support duties
  • Meeting preparation
  • Working with account portals and administrative tasks
  • Engaging in regular sales analysis

Qualifications and Experience

  • Book publishing industry experience a plus
  • Ability to multi-task in an entrepreneurial setting, and efficiently manage time, priorities and resources
  • Efficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Friendly, courteous, professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented
  • A high level of mathematical ability
  • Ability to analyze, model and interpret data
  • Methodical and logical approach
