Senior Accountant

Purpose of Role

We have recently implemented a new ERP system, and we are therefore looking for a service-minded and well-organized person to work in our finance department.

You will work from our office in Bucharest and be part of the finance department. You will report to our Billing Team Lead and work closely with other members of the department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support and Deputies the Billing Lead to ensure billing is run timely and accurately and revenue is accounted correctly;
  • Report and monitor AR related processes: billing, revenue reconciliation;
  • Maintain customer agreements in our platforms and in the ERP system;
  • Keep up to date customer receivable accounts and issue invoices and credit memos timely and accurately;
  • Work as business partner with the commercial team to agree how the revenue is recognized;
  • Resolve finance-related customers’ queries about invoices, agreements and other relevant matters;
  • Ad hoc projects/requests as directed by the senior managers.

Skills & Requirements

Required professional qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Accounting;
  • Ability to work well with systems and develop reports;
  • Experience in working with customer agreements, billing and related queries is preferred;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with NetSuite or implementation process of an ERP system is a plus;
  • Experience from customer support ticket systems (Zendesk, SalesForce or similar) is a plus;
  • Fluency in English is a must;
  • Ideally university educated in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.

  • You will have operational focus and solution-oriented;
  • You are practical and have a hands-on approach to tasks;
  • You are self-driven with a positive attitude and good problem solving skills;
  • You are well-organized and able to priorities and handle multiple deliverables at the same time;
