We are looking for an experienced & driven Test Planner to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future.

The role is a part of our excellent/bold/passionate safety test laboratory team based in Västerås.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt already play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society. We are continuously building a team of experienced engineers and great leaders with industry background.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Staff Planning

  • Plan, communicate, execute, and mitigate (when things go wrong) the daily/weekly staffing plan to ensure test-activities are on track.
  • Keep an up-to-date personnel forecast (considering vacation, holidays, planned test/production downtimes) to ensure personnel (as a resource) availability for test-planning.

Test Planning

  • Coordinating with multiple projects the demand forecasts
  • Plotting test-demand vs test-capacity forecasts
  • Identifying resource (personnel, equipment, materials) constraints/conflicts
  • Coordinating deconfliction and prioritization
  • Publishing a realistic, up to date test plan with proper resource dependencies
  • Optimize the usage of available test equipment
  • Establish KPIs and monitor the test lab utilisation

Logistics Planning

  • Coordinate logistics of incoming/outgoing deliveries of materials and test cells to/from the test facility and other Northvolt companies

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • University degree(s).
  • Proven experience with test or production planning (minimum one year).
  • Excellent reading, writing, and speaking comprehension of English; Swedish is a plus. Due to Northvolt's multi-cultural roots, English is the common language in the workplace.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft (or similar) Office products, to include word processing, Excel-spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Excellent command of/experience with various ERP-systems.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently. Strong sense of accountability, responsibility, and ownership.

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.
