Global Junior Mobility Buyer

Job Description

The Global Junior Mobility Buyer governs under management of the Global Lead buyer all Mobility purchase requests ensuring the application of procurement processes and tools from within the global procurement organization and supports the Global Lead Buyer.

This position is based in Europe and reports into the Global Lead buyer.

Mobility is composed of Company cars, Rental cars, Car Sharing, ride hailing, Taxi, public transport, Rail and other ways of local transport.

Responsibilities:

  • Help implement sourcing strategy for the Mobility scope category
  • Manage assigned Mobility sourcing process, supplier negotiations, strategic account relationships and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strongly cooperate with travel teams, internal clients / stakeholders so it drives procurement compliance
  • Evaluate make-vs-buy decision, conduct assigned RFP and own relationship with assigned external partners
  • Monitor the market to identify startups, disruptors, new regulations, relevant industry developments impacting the Mobility scope and the Capgemini Mobility program
  • Contribute to the overall travel team expertise with insights and data
  • GPS: supports standard global processes to drive streamlined PR review process ensuring compliance to procurement and travel policies and correct capture of savings (*GPS is Capgemini’s Global Procurement System)
  • Follow reporting on KPI (Purchase Order compliance, supplier reduction) to drive optimization and compliancy
  • Savings follow up per published reporting material (ensure data consistency, follow up on missing approvals, gap to target analysis)
  • Ensure follow-up on assigned savings and carbon reduction initiatives in close cooperation with the Global Lead Buyer
  • Identify and suggest improvements in processes and documentation
  • Regularly benchmark with peers to understand additional opportunity for optimization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/economics, engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in large corporations with proven track record in driving projects across a decentralized virtual team
  • Results oriented and highly organized with ability to balance global vision with attention to local detail and prioritizing activities in a complex environment
  • Excellent inter‐personal and networking skills
  • Strong communicator with solid problem-solving skills, and in depth knowledge on office products like Excel and PowerPoint
