Background

Hurtigruten is going through change - change at virtually all levels of the business. We have recently opened a second headquarters in London and are growing rapidly across all our teams including Sales & Marketing, Commercial, Operations and Expeditions.

Reporting to one of our Expedition Product Managers we are looking for a Product & Shorex Planner to assist the Expedition PM in designing and developing the end-to-end product experience in one of our many expedition regions. This individual will drive structure, coordination, and processes in product development efforts and handovers.

Position

As a Product and Shorex Planner, you will assist the Product Manager in designing and developing itineraries for one of HRX’s destinations. This includes assisting with research, destination scouting, themes and concepts, science programs, F&B programs, and onboard programs.

You will help promote Hurtigruten Expeditions ensuring sustainability and exploration remain at the core. You will work with the Expedition PD in the selection of shore excursions to fit a given voyage, contracting, and successful operation of shore excursions.

Our ideal candidate has prior expertise in planning and developing a booking expedition or travel experience for customers from end to end. There are many challenges and opportunities for growth for someone who is passionate about making an impact in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Skills & Requirements

Your day-to-day

  • You will maintain close collaboration with our Operations division to ensure anchoring, alignment, and operational feasibility.

  • Facilitate a smooth and efficient handover to operational units and be on call to support the ship if needed.

  • Contribute to content production - especially info decks to ships, onboard lectures, training of Customer Success Consultants and guest presentations.

  • Be responsible for delivering information and training packages to other functions in an efficient way - especially information sharing with onboard teams, loading teams, CSC, and Finance.

  • Conduct and perform handover routines according to standards, processes, and routines established by the Expedition Product function.

  • Work collaboratively with others in Expedition Product to optimize internal routines and processes.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience within the relevant travel and tourism industry.

  • Strong experience with project coordination, shorex, product development, or field operations in multiple regions.

  • Fluent in English - both spoken and written.

  • Masters/Bachelors Degree within related fields such as Business, Marketing, Travel & Tourism would place you in good stead.

  • Fluent in another language - particularly, Norwegian, German or French would be desirable.
