Dynamic Systems Control and Testing Engineer

The Koenigsegg Dynamic Systems Control Team is responsible for designing and developing software for vehicle control systems, integration testing, calibration, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
We are working very closely with the other engineering departments, production and service/aftersales.

We are now looking to expand the team with a skilled and experienced (software) engineer with the ability to transform product requirements and production needs to state of the art solutions and also further advance the control system technologies in our cars.

The responsibilities associated with this position puts a strong requirement on your ability to cooperate with other departments in other technical domains.


  • Develop virtual test environment.
  • Formulate and prototype new concepts.

  • Integrate, Calibrate and Test Dynamic Systems Software.

  • Design and debug application-level software, both in embedded systems and desktop environments.
  • Support our production and service departments.
  • Work with a small, agile cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers.
  • Participate in the development of our way of working.

Skills & Requirements

Need to have

  • Fluency in the English language.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant, post-graduate, full time, experience.

  • Experience with virtual testing environments, simulation development

  • Hands-on knowledge of testing procedures, both vehicle testing and component testing. Including Data Analysis skills.

  • Experience with designing control systems.

  • Proficient in C and C++ programming.

  • Experience working with CAN bus analyzers and protocols.

  • Willingness to constantly learn and improve yourself.

  • Strong Team work and social communication skills.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving strategies.

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering or similar.


  • Previous Formula Student or Motorsport experience (or similar) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of how a car works and how its systems and components interact is a plus.

  • Experience in troubleshooting automotive electrical systems a plus.

  • Experience in low-level programming in real-time systems a plus.

  • Experience of version control and build systems.

  • Experience in hardware design a plus.

  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment with regular context switching.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
