Prototyping Technician (Mechanical)

At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.
We are looking for a Prototyping Technician with mechanical background to join our Advanced Design and Prototyping Team in Gothenburg. Do you have experience with prototyping activities and want to contribute to a more sustainable future?
Your mission
You will be working in a small and very multidisciplinary team involved in a broad range of prototyping activities.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work as part of a team to build mockups, proof of concepts, test rigs and other sorts of prototypes
- Work with CNC and conventional machines for the produce prototype parts
- Assist in the management and development of the hangar facilities
- Help maintaining an appropriate inventory of tools and equipment to support prototyping activities
- Perform inspection, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment
- Oversee and maintain the goods-in receiving area and supervise local logistics
- Ensure safe working practices

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience with similar tasks and responsibilities
- Knowledge of CAD & CAM
- Metal working (Lathe, CNC & Manual Machining, Welding, Panel beating)
- Wood working (General construction)
- Completed Health and Safety training (BAM training or similar) is a bonus
- Experience with Composites is a bonus
Specific Skills/Abilities
- Metal working (Lathe, CNC & Manual Machining, Welding, Panel beating)
- Wood working (General construction)
- Strong organisational skills
- Fork-lift truck license is a bonus
- Knowledge of local area and suppliers is an advantage
- 3D Printing is a bonus
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry
