At Morrow Batteries our ambition is to develop and manufacture the world’s most cost-effective and sustainable battery cells. Our vision is to enable and accelerate the green energy transition through the production of sustainable batteries

We aren’t merely making products; we are looking to revolutionize the sustainable battery industry and develop the next generation of battery cell technology. We are keen to promote our mission, passion, and values both to our team within and to the world outside.

We have an opportunity for talented Research Engineers or Scientists with experience in electrolytes for LNMO//Graphite batteries , formation procedures or cell postmortem to join our pioneering R&D team. Working together with various internal and external teams we will encourage you to bring a creative approach to solving challenges from different angles.

Depending on the experience you bring, your role will either;

  • Develop electrolytes for LNMO//Graphite batteries,
  • Design formation procedures, or
  • Lead the analysis of the cells after failure.

The successful Research Engineers & Scientists will become part of a highly collaborative, dedicated, and skilled team, each with their own key competence to learn from. Combined with Morrow’s rapid growth, we can offer a work environment with energy, continued development, and the technologies to build the batteries of the future.

Morrow is currently building the Battery Research Center (BRC) in Grimstad, near the future Battery Cell Factory 1 in Arendal. You will be part of the electrolyte team based in Grimstad and you will report to the R&D Manager – Electrolytes.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and characterize electrolyte formulations to optimize the performance of cells (Electrolyte developer)
  • Design formation procedures to evaluate formulation-performance relationships (Formation expert)
  • Lead the analysis of cell after failure or formation to understand the processes taking place in the cell (Postmortem expert)
  • Data analysis to extract useful information to enhance business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with multiple partners
  • Prepare reports addressing critical technical developments, project management, and forward plans.
  • Generate and organize project presentations and technical data for internal and external reviews.
