We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Automotive & Foundry team in our mission to contribute to a greener future. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing and maintaining relationships with our customers and directly contribute to establishing and delivering our batteries to our clients.

About the job

This position offers a unique opportunity to act in a dual role as i) Liaison Project Manager between Northvolt and our joint venture with Volvo Cars (NOVO), and ii) becoming an integral part in Northvolt’s Volvo Cars Programs setup.

NOVO energy is the Joint Venture between Northvolt and Volvo Cars established in 2021, with the ambition to develop and produce premium battery cells for Volvo Cars, aligned with the Northvolt vision to deliver the greenest battery in the world. Novo is established in Gothenburg where a giga factory is under construction and the R&D centre is under build-up. Northvolt is working closely with Volvo Cars and NOVO to build up the strong R&D capabilities and defining the customer development roadmap. Products developed in NOVO will build on the concept platform and family developed for Volvo Cars by Northvolt and will, over time, constitute a portfolio of high-performance products. In this role, you will take part in building up the R&D capability at NOVO and help manage the overall product portfolio for Volvo Cars.

As a NOVO Liaison Project Manager, your main responsibility will be to drive the integrated set up between Northvolt and the Novo project team. As a Project Manager you are responsible for your work package and delivering results for the success of the project and program.

As NOVO Liaison project manager, we expect you to have previously managed technical automotive customer projects. Knowledge of Lithium-Ion batteries or e-mobility is preferred but not required. About the company

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.

To accomplish this, we do things differently. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. We even build our own factories. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history.

Northvolt is growing fast. We’re staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We're also hiring for our gigafactory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden. We want to work with smart individuals from all disciplines. Strong individuals that truly want to make a positive impact on the future. Those of us already on board share a passion for our mission. We’re prepared to work hard in pursuit of excellence. We enjoy the ride and our main drive is to make a difference for real. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun.
