Flower provides the technological backbone that allows society to rely upon renewable electricity as its primary energy carrier. Here at Flower, we believe that electricity is the future and is the best way of combatting the emission of greenhouse gases. We want to lead the transformation of electricity fundamental changes to the current electricity system!
At Flower, we operate a virtual power plant (VPP) where we connect to and control a vast heterogeneous pool of assets which we optimize to produce the most benefit for the electricity system both locally, regionally, and system-wide.
Our office is located in Söder Mälarstrand 21, between Slussen and Gamla Stan subway stations here in Stockholm which has a lovely view of the city.
By being one of the most promising energy start-ups in the Nordics, we are gradually expanding our team and are in the exciting phase to launch Flower in new European markets. Our current focus is on building great energy refining solutions with more than 4 000 current assets connected to our Power Refinery Platform.
Now we are looking for more bright people with a burning desire to solve complex and important problems and who are passionate about contributing to Flower’s data excellence.
As a Data Engineer, you will have responsibility for Flowers databases and pipelines. You will work closely with both the data science team and the integration/backend team and make sure that all necessary data comes into the system and is stored sensibly as well as easily fetched from the databases.
We believe that you have a degree in computer science, math, physics, or similar. You must have a passion for energy transition, and data management, and you are eager to learn. You should be a driven team player who also takes initiative. You should know about databases and data structure, either from studies or experience. Furthermore, it would be a merit to know about AWS and big data.
Prior experience in the energy sector and/or flexibility markets is not required.
Fluent English knowledge as well as a working permit in Sweden is required. You should be willing to submit to a background check as the security of the electricity system is our top priority.
We expect you to mostly work at our office to enable close collaboration between the different teams. However, we’re highly flexible both with remote work and work hours.
Apply as soon as possible by submitting your CV, and if you'd like a motivational letter.
