THIS IS THE JOB

• Manage appropriate train architectures, concepts and design solutions.
• Take responsibility for key technical decisions regarding the functional architecture, including functional changes at vehicle level and approval of critical integration documents (e.g. requirements assignment, functional concepts, test plan).
• Ensure standardisation by applying a maximum scope of standardised vehicle functions within rail vehicle projects or bids.
• Support the chief engineer in the preparation of reports on project progress of functional architecture, risks and key performance indicators (KPI).
• Documentation and reporting with various interfaces.
• Managing the functional architecture team in terms of capacity and workload.

THIS IS WHAT WE NEED

• V.I.E criteria – you have European nationality.
• V.I.E criteria – you are under 28 years old.
• V.I.E criteria – you have not declared more than 9500€ salary in Germany in the current year.
• Completed engineering studies in a technical field or comparable training with professional experience.
• Professional experience in the field of railway systems engineering is a plus.
• Experience in project management and in the management of system requirements.
• Experience in design creation and review as well as in change management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, analytical abilities and the ability to work in a team are required.
• Business fluent in English, both written and spoken.
