Application Training Specialist - REMOTE

We are currently looking for an Application Training Specialist with a passion for IT, and serving customers. Our application specialists are experts when it comes to using the Sectra applications. Their aim is to optimize our customers’ use of our different solutions to their best advantage. This new team member will ideally have extensive training and clinical background in Mammography, Cardiology or MRI to make our applications team stronger. You will be part of the deployment team for new installs which handles customer training for PACS and add-on packages, as well as go live support for new deployments. You need to have excellent presentation skills, computer skills, be organized, and be able to handle multiple simultaneous demands.

Other responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and working together with the customer to develop an end product that fills their workflow and clinical needs. We are looking for someone with a passion for mentoring customers and peers, someone who is patient and inspiring, who can think outside the box, and can keep calm in stressful situations.

Working as an application specialist:

  • Perform PACS workflow analysis
  • Plan and schedule training activities during the deployment
  • Deliver web-based and on-site training to ensure they have the skills and tools necessary to optimize the use of our solutions
  • Provide remote diagnostic support for technical, clinical, and end-user problems using the latest remote access technologies
  • Provide a positive, cohesive company image when discussing the company, products, and management decisions with internal and external customers
  • Organize and provide appropriate go-live support
  • Develop new processes to improve the efficiency of applications work and raise the quality of customer product understanding and satisfaction

Skills & Requirements

We also want you to be a good communicator where you can interact with colleagues, partners and customers in an effective, clear and constructive way.

For this position, the following requirements apply:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, IT or equivalent with a strong academic performance OR have a clinical background, for example, as a radiology nurse or technician.
  • Prior Clinical Application Specialist and/or Radiology Imaging experience
  • You like to teach and explain complex things and you are good at it
  • Understanding of and have experience in PACS, both using and configuring
  • Travel Required (70%) as directed by manager. It will vary month to month
  • Fluency in English

In addition, we consider it an asset if you also:

  • Have knowledge of the Sectra PACS (Radiology, Orthopedics, Mammography and Pathology) including add-on functionality (Volume Visualization, Active Directory, Teaching files)
  • Previous experiences as a PACS Administrator is a plus
  • Experience in MRI and/or CT preferred
  • Hold a CIIP certificate

  • Deliver inspiring training courses which keep all participants involved

  • Have excellent customer service skills, verbal, written, listening and presenting skills

  • Are organized, show initiative and have good time management skills

  • Have the ability to work cohesively and effectively with employees and customers at all levels/departments of the organizations

  • Have the ability to balance multiple projects and assignments to meet stated deadlines with quality results and work with little to no supervision

  • Speak more languages than those required above

  • Have experience with other cultures and countries

  • Have interests besides work such as music, sports, horseback riding etc.

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $85,000 based on experience and qualifications.
